SafeKeeper: Move freely, we look after your two-wheeler!
Riding an e-scooter or a bike, but worried it’ll be stolen or damaged once it’s parked at your destination? SafeKeeper was born to answer that question and give you a simple, secure solution.
Our story
It all started one evening. Jérémy, about to head out on his e-scooter, asked himself a simple question: “Where am I going to leave it when I get there?”
Held back by the lack of a practical solution, he ended up taking his car. But it was with one throwaway line – “It would be so cool if someone could just look after it for me nearby” – that everything changed.
What if there were a service connecting travelers with people who look after belongings, like an Airbnb for bikes and e-scooters?
Our mission
SafeKeeper is much more than just a bike and e-scooter storage service. Our goal is twofold:
1️⃣ Offer a simple, secure solution so everyone can make the most of the city without worrying about their two-wheeler. Whether it’s for an evening out, a restaurant or an appointment, SafeKeeper guarantees Travelers peace of mind.
2️⃣ Build a community of committed Bikesitters who offer temporary storage space (garage, cellar, hallway…). In return, they get paid, which lets them top up their income and increase their purchasing power easily, with complete flexibility.
Our vision
We want to build a network of trust, first in Lyon, then gradually across France and Europe, where every user can quickly find a Keeper nearby. A new way to get around freely while supporting the local economy.
The team
Marie-Charlotte & Jérémy – Co-founders of SafeKeeper
We’ve been working together since 2018 and make a complementary team:
🛠 Jérémy is the team’s tech person. A self-taught developer, he learned Flutter, then React Native and Golang to build SafeKeeper from A to Z. He’s the one who turns our ideas into reality and spends nights coding to optimize the app.
🚀 Marie-Charlotte is the project’s pilot. As Product Manager, she shapes the vision, runs the strategy and makes sure SafeKeeper meets users’ real needs. She orchestrates everything… even if, we have to admit, Jérémy is faster than her at go-karting. 😆
Between work, family life and developing the app, we built SafeKeeper in our spare time, often between two bottle feeds or during our little boy’s naps. This project is our passion!
